Texas assemblage!

A new assemblage is born! …from bits and pieces I picked up on a recent trip to Austin & San Antonio. It’s interesting to see how the things I find and arrange can represent a place – the flower-like seed pods remind me of 5-point stars – which is the state’s icon, and the bits of red, white & blue seem fitting for patriotic Texas. I created two others, but I’m not as happy with those. Not every try is a success :-) My dream is to create assemblages from all the different places I travel over the years. It seems like an intriguing way to get to know a new place, while also creating a piece of artwork that celebrates their flora and found 'culture'.
